Concrete jungle blues.

It’s 9pm on Monday night and I’m still recovering from the weekend after a horrific self-pity filled day at work (HELP). My friend had a boozy brunch for her birthday at Big Easy in Canary Wharf on Saturday and things just spiralled out of control from there really. One minute I was fine and the next I was dancing alone barefoot on a table somewhere in Shoreditch.

Anyway, it started off relatively civilised. The food at our brunch was incredible and the unlimited Prosecco wasn’t bad either. Big Easy is basically an American Grill style restaurant with pretty views of London thrown in. After consuming 19,827 calories each, my friends and I took a wander into the botanical gardens that the venue plays host to- which turned out to be the perfect photo opportunity.

Outfit wise, I opted for a powder blue culotte jumpsuit (New Look Petite £24.99) and some mustard mules I got for £20 in the Zara sale last week. I don’t ever usually wear blue because it doesn’t do a lot for me but I loved the muted tone of this piece and the fit is spot on.

After our extended photoshoot session we headed to a bar called Barrio on Old Street to continue the fun. I highly recommend if you’re looking for somewhere with room to dance and a sizeable selection of cocktails.

(Apologies for the pathetic posing).
