Born to rock star Lenny Kravitz back in 1988, it’s fair to say that American singer, actress and model Zoe is now a fully fledged celebrity in her own right. In addition to her myriad of talents, it can’t be disputed that she has a very distinguished sense of style and is a master of power dressing- which is useful when you’re 5 ft 2.
Zoe is one of those people who you’d never guess was vertically challenged at first glance. This is predominantly because she has a big presence and dresses to reflect this.
Let’s take a little look at some of her most envy inducing outfits…
All hail Queen Zoe. This chic loosely tailored look with nude body underneath oozes confidence and the deep V neck broadens her upper half perfectly. Subtle yet striking.
Don’t be afraid to try out the oversized look when it comes to coats and jackets. The Olsens do it all the time and, as Zoe proves here, it adds an element of fierceness to an outfit no matter how small your frame. That being said, if you go TOO big you’re at risk of looking like you’re drowning in material so be careful.
Side note: A streamlined maxi coat in one block colour is the best way to do it if you want to take the plunge.
Even at a feminist march, this babe manages to look the part wearing a slinky pair of elasticated trousers with a cropped knit and slouchy cardi. The high waistline in this navy ensemble is the key component when it comes to adding height.
Adore this red carpet riot (it even has pockets 😱)
The bardot neckline and short hemline are ideal for a shorter lady who wants to make a statement. Note that Zoe has also pulled her hair back from her face; this additional skin exposure is another good way to trick the eye.
This look was too cute not to feature. Zoe is partial to an oversized garment or two and, again, the short hem on this makes her legs appear endless. You’d never know she was petite.
This bold 80s look for British Vogue screams powerful. The shoulder pads, statement hoops, loud print and short hemline can’t be ignored. Once again proving that even short girls can project a supermodel aesthetic.
Zoe’s versatile style allows her to work both edgy and elegant looks, switching between the two at the drop of a hat. This Versace piece is so simple but manages to flatter Zoe in every area. The plunging neck and high waist combo falls in all the right places which enhances her incredible figure.
Top tip: A side slit, like the one above, is another technique petites can use to create the illusion of longer legs.
