Trend Alert: Spring Neutrals

Let’s talk about Spring Fashion! A trend that I’ve seen on all of Fashion Weeks’ catwalks worldwide, is neutral tones. I have to admit, a head-to-toe neutral outfit looks great in the sunshine after months of Winter darkness.

Neutral colours are super easy to wear. The neutrality makes those pieces of clothing easy to pair up with other colours, prints and graphics, making the trend one of the timeless classics. On top of that, because building a neutral wardrobe would mean getting together a bunch of staple pieces of clothing, we think it’s actually one of the most ethical ways to shop. You can wear these neutral pieces in so many different ways and occasions that you don’t need to own too many of the same anymore!

Trend Spotlight: The Linen Trouser

I believe that linen trousers will be hot for the months to come as they make up the perfect chic inexpensive look. Don't be fooled into thinking linen trousers are for the hottest days of Summer only, because they can look really chic paired with a leather blazer, a denim shirt or a chunky knit too. The classic white and cream styles are almost always available from designers and on the high street, but if you’re looking for a more sophisticated, all-year-around style, then look for belted high waists, tapered leg silhouettes and new colourways like olive green, khaki and brown. These are the neutral staples you can wear from Springtime to Autumn!

We’ve spotted this trend in many celebrities and influencers alike.

Fashion stylist Marianne wears her linen trousers with a knit for the cooler days, pairing it with sandals or trainers. The influencer Francesca Saffari pairs it with a linen waistcoat and Hailey Bieber styles the linen trouser with a crop top and a leather blazer. Whether you style them with a swimsuit, bandeau top, matching shirt, knit jumper or going-out top, this is the trend to swear by this year.

Although there are plenty of options around when it comes to the high street or designer brands to get your pair of linen trousers from, there isn’t much out there in the market for petite girls, like myself. This is why we handpicked some of the most unique vintage styles for you to choose from.
